The past week has seen us make strides in our progress on the robot. For our software team the main focus was to ensure that we had a smoothly running driving code by fixing all newly discovered bugs. We also began testing on the laser rangefinders, encoders, and the ultrasonic sensors. Our electrical team is also hard at work mounting and configuring many components of the robot’s systems, for example the electrical board. On top of that they have been ensuring the correct calibration and integration of the sensors required for a operational robot. Our many subsystems have also made major progress on the completion of their components. The elevator is completed and now the team is working on fixing all of the little issues. The climber has also seen major progress with all of the pneumatic tubes being identified and tested. We have also finished designing and began the production of our intake system. As of this update, we have begin mounting the motor and started basic testing. The drive-train subsystem has finished assembly of the gearboxes and has begun mounting them. We have also almost finished assembly of the chassis and bumpers. As for our designs we have finished most of our CAD models including the models for the Intake, Elevator, and Climber subsystems. We hope you stay tuned on our progress as we continue our hard work!
