The VEX team is back! After a short hiatus due to the Omicron variant and a snow storm, the team competed at the “Tipping Point” robotics competition in Framingham, Massachusetts. “Tipping Point” was a qualifying tournament for the Southern New England Regional Championships competition, so the team needed to perform well in hopes of moving forward.
The team worked on their robot for months, and strengthened their robot after each practice tournament. These modifications showed great results as the team improved with each competition they participated in.
At the “Tipping Point” competition there were twenty-two middle school VEX teams. Overall, the Melrose VEX team placed in fourteenth place. They did amazing in the skills section, which qualified them for the Regionals competition! Great work everyone!
