The kitchen tour this year was a resounding success and even going into it off of ticket sales online, we knew the 12th annual Melrose Kitchen Tour would be a big one. Across our 12 kitchens we had dozens of avid tourists eager to see the dazzling work done on kitchens across Melrose. In case you were unaware, the kitchen tour has been a huge fundraiser for the Melrose High School Robotics team, the iRaiders, for many years. It has ensured that the sign-up for the robotics program is entirely free to all students eager to join. The kitchen tour allows for kitchen enthusiasts to travel across Melrose on a nearly 5 hour journey for a low price of $25, all of which goes straight to Melrose Robotics communities.
As I mentioned, this year was a phenomenal one. We had an increase from 62 to 155 tickets sold online, which is over double the amount of online sales we have ever had. We got tons of sales before, at the door, checks and more! (rhymes intended) It’s hard to tell just how many tickets we sold among the flurry of excited kitchen tourists but we can say we had over 300 attendees. Needless to say the year was incredibly successful and the hosts had a great time,

It was a successful year, as always, but this year, and I can’t stress this enough, was even more successful. We here at the iRaiders public relations team believe we speak for the team when we say that we can not thank the mentors, school, and volunteers like Ms. Vogan for giving us the time and resources to be a successful team and have great fundraisers like the kitchen tour. And, of course, we couldn’t do it without the community supporting our team. Thanks for ensuring our financial success for this year and we hope you had fun and will attend next years kitchen tour.
